AI is everywhere in recruitment right now.
Candidates are using it for cover letters, CVs… everything. And honestly? So are we.
But here’s the difference—it’s how you use it.
We recently had two applications come through recently for Leasing Consultant roles. Different people, different suburbs, completely different backgrounds. And yet… their cover letters were basically identical.
Same wording. Same structure. Same polished, generic tone. It was so obvious they’d just copied the job ad into ChatGPT and hit “generate.”
No tweaks. No personality. No effort. And here’s the thing—this doesn’t make you look impressive. It does the opposite.
Hiring managers can spot it straight away. And when it feels generic, it raises questions… Are you actually interested? Do you have initiative? Or are you just taking shortcuts?
AI isn’t the problem. It's actually a great tool. Use it to get started. Use it when you’re stuck. Use it to clean things up.
But don’t let it do the whole job for you. Because what we actually want to see is YOU.
What have you done? What deals have you closed? What kind of clients have you worked with? What experience do you bring?
That’s what makes you stand out.
Think of AI as a starting point—not the finished product. At the end of the day, recruitment is a people business. Personality matters. Effort matters. Authenticity matters.
So yes—use AI.
Just don’t let it replace you.
Because that human touch? That’s still what gets you hired.
