Giving up a few things you need is often more effective than adding more things in life. Give Up the Short term Mindset
You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough. Successful people set long term goals and they know these aims are merely the result of short term habits that they need to do every day. These habits shouldn’t be something you do, they should be something you embody.
Give Up on Playing Small
You playing small does not serve yourself or anyone. If you never try and take great opportunities or allow your dreams to become realities, you will never unleash your true potential. Voice your ideas, don’t be afraid to fail.
Give Up the Fixed Mindset
Talent does not lead to success without hard work. People often have a fixed mindset that if they possess a specific talent that they will automatically succeed without putting in the hard yards. Invest time on a daily basis to acquire new skills, learn new skills and adjust your mind set.
Give Up Multi-tasking
Multi-tasking is an illusion that you are completing many tasks at once however in reality you are actually wasting time switching back and forward from one task to another. Successful people know this which is why they choose one thing and beat it in to submission no matter what the task is. Being fully present and committed to one task is indispensable.
Give Up Wasting Time
Ditch meaningless time wasters and stop allowing them to be an escape from your important goals and make the most out of your 24 hours within a day. The trouble is, you think you have time so remember to only commit to things that will enrich your life and prepare you for success’ in the coming year.
